Why We Started Vitacatlabs
Cat food processing can strip out nutrients that cats need every day — taurine included. We started Vitacatlabs to close that gap with simple, lab-tested supplements built around real feline nutrition science, not guesswork.
Most cat owners never think twice about taurine until a vet brings it up. By then, it's often already a health conversation instead of a prevention one. We wanted to change that.
Our Approach
One ingredient, done right. Rather than building a supplement with a long list of fillers and additives, we focus on doing the essentials well. Our first product, Taurine, is exactly what it says on the label — nothing more, nothing your cat doesn't need.
Built on the science. Taurine is an essential amino acid cats can't produce on their own. It supports normal heart muscle function and healthy vision. We formulate around what the research actually supports, not marketing trends.
Made for real cats. Picky eaters, food-sensitive cats, senior cats — we designed our powder to be tasteless and easy to mix into any meal, because a supplement only works if your cat will actually eat it.
What's Next
Taurine is where we started, but not where we're stopping. We're working on additional formulas to support the other areas that matter most for feline health — always grounded in the same principle: simple, purposeful, and built for cats, not for the shelf.
